Nature & Environmental Production · Australia
Documentary. Advertising. Branded film. Broadcast. Whatever format your story demands, Natural History Studios Australia delivers it — with award-winning crew, exceptional access to locations and contributors, and a fully equipped Gold Coast studio.
Why Natural History Studios
Whether you're a broadcaster needing Australian sequences, a brand building an environmental campaign, a government body communicating conservation policy, or a corporation with a sustainability story to tell — we bring the same thing every time: broadcast-standard craft, genuine access, and a crew network that no production service can replicate.
"Della's access negotiation skills are second to none — she got us brilliant story access and great contributors from government scientists, leading shark experts and indigenous communities."

Crew network
Access that takes years to build. Award-winning crew across every state. A studio that qualifies for the incentive. And a producer who understands what broadcasters, brands, and government bodies each need — because she's delivered for all of them.
What we offer
The access, the crew, the locations, the wildlife — none of it is on a database. It takes years of relationships. That's what we bring.
How we work together
01
Share your project, brief, or idea — broadcast pitch, brand campaign, government program, or something still taking shape. We'll tell you honestly what's possible and what it takes.
02
Access to locations, scientists, Indigenous knowledge holders, and government bodies that no production database can provide. Award-winning crew assembled around your specific needs.
03
Broadcast-standard content, on time, to the editorial and compliance standards of your platform — whether that's Netflix, a brand campaign, or a government communication program.
Full capability detail
A genuine creative and production partnership for international broadcasters — not just a local fixer. We bring editorial input, Australian relationships, and broadcast credentials to co-productions with UK, US, and European partners.
Brands, corporations, and NGOs with a story about the natural world need more than a production crew. They need a partner who understands what makes environmental content credible — and what makes audiences actually watch it.
Nature and wildlife content for advertising demands the same access, the same specialist crew, and the same patience as broadcast — with the added complexity of brand requirements and tight turnarounds. We've navigated both.
Government agencies, research institutions, and science bodies need content that meets compliance standards and still reaches the audience it's made for. We've delivered for DFAT, state and federal environment departments, and major Australian universities.
Australia's top natural history crew — award-winning DOPs, macro specialists, drone operators, sound recordists, field producers, and animal wranglers — available to any production working in this country. Built over fifteen years in the field.
The access that defines the quality of a natural history production isn't on a location database. It's built over years of relationships with Parks agencies, researchers, Traditional Owners, and the scientists doing the most important work in their fields.
The Studio
Built for the specific demands of blue-chip natural history production. Green-screen, LED environments, macro suites, animal enclosures, and specialist wranglers — all under one roof on the Gold Coast.

Past clients
NatGeo · BBC · Netflix · Apple TV+
Filming Australian wildlife sequences in the UK is expensive, logistically complex, and rarely as good. We built the alternative.
Who we work with
The craft is the same regardless of format. The access is the same regardless of budget. What changes is how we apply it.
Broadcasters & Streamers
UK, US, and European production companies and broadcasters needing an Australian co-production partner or production service. We've delivered for the same networks you're pitching to.
Brands & Corporations
Outdoor, travel, and lifestyle brands whose identity connects to the natural world. Corporations with genuine sustainability commitments that deserve to be communicated credibly. ESG and environmental alignment content that audiences trust.
Advertising & Creative Agencies
Agencies producing TVCs, digital campaigns, or brand content in natural environments — or needing specialist wildlife and nature sequences. We work white-label and direct, at the quality your clients expect.
Government & Policy
Federal and state environment departments, land management bodies, and international development programs (including AusAID-funded work) needing content that meets compliance standards and actually reaches its audience.
Research & Universities
Research institutions and universities that need their science communicated beyond academic audiences. Active partnerships with Griffith University, University of Queensland, and James Cook University.
NGOs & Conservation
Conservation organisations that need storytelling capable of moving audiences, not just informing them. The difference between content that raises awareness and content that changes behaviour is craft. We bring broadcast craft to every NGO project we take on.
Selected broadcast credits
The craft we bring to every client — broadcast, brand, or government — is the same craft that delivered these.

About the studio
Natural History Studios Australia was founded on a simple premise: the craft and access that delivers blue-chip broadcast natural history should be available to every client who needs to tell a story about the natural world — regardless of whether their end platform is Netflix or a brand campaign.
That means award-winning crew, genuine location and contributor access, a fully equipped Gold Coast studio, and a founder with fifteen years of production credits across the world's most demanding broadcasters. The same standard applies to every project we take on — broadcast, brand, advertising, or government.
We work selectively. Every project gets the full attention of our founder and lead producer, not a junior team. If you need someone who will care about the story as much as you do, let's talk.
